ACCOLADE HUMANITARIAN AWARD

The goal of the Humanitarian Award is to honor filmmakers who are bringing awareness to issues of Ecological, Political, Social Justice, Equality, Health and Wellness, Animals, Wildlife, Conservation and Spiritual importance.

Each year, Accolade bestows its Humanitarian Awards on films that achieve two things:

1. They inspire change by addressing issues of humanitarian significance.

2. They demonstrate outstanding excellence in filmmaking craft.

Judges’ Nomination – Humanitarian Award nominees are selected exclusively by the judges from films entered into the general competition throughout the year. Of the hundreds of humanitarian films screened, only exceptional works nominated by the judging panel advance for consideration for this distinguished honor.

Award Levels – The highest-scoring film is presented with the Grand Prize Humanitarian Award. Films that achieve exceptional scores are recognized at the Outstanding Achievement, Award of Distinction, or Honorable Mention levels.

Recognition – We believe these remarkable films, and filmmakers, deserve to be celebrated. To help amplify that impact, we offer a variety of resources promotional materials to celebrate this distinguished recognition.
